Have you ever really pushed yourself in a workout? Do you look at the reps and the weight and think "I'll do 20lbs less and break it up in 3 sets so that I can get a better time"?
That's all well and good but you should take a workout soon and go ALL OUT. Generally this is a mistake, and it's going to feel like a mistake, but it's a good learning experience. Shut your mind off, don't try to game it, just go as HARD AS YOU CAN till you simply can't go anymore.
Even if you've gone over the edge before...How do you know that's your current edge? What we did a year ago or two years or three years ago isn't representative of what we can do now. We might be better or worse.
It's time to find out. Sometime soon choose a workout with short intervals and some basic simple movements and just throw caution to the wind. Attack it with reckless abandon!
Oh look...a short interval workout with some simple moves...interesting.
